Saturday at the river was wonderful. Wow, what a difference a week makes. Now that the kids are back in school, the boat traffic was significantly less. This was the Griffin’s last trip of the season. Sean water skied and boarded. Conor boarded. Scott and Kim skied but Scott sprained his ankle on his second run. Bummer. Mark, new to the club, wake boarded and was awed by the surrounding beauty of the river. And it was beautiful. Laura did both and was a great help to Gene helping with food prep and clean up.
We had happy hour at the river's edge and then dined there as the sun set. It was really nice, then it turned hot, then it got a bit windy, and then it was really blowing. While the wind calmed a bit, it never went away. Sunday we went up river looking for better water and found none. The return trip to camp was pretty wet. We found the best water for wake boarding down river.
One of the highlights of the weekend is that the Sheriff was out in force giving tickets to all the stupid people on waverunners. We actually talked to one of the young people ticketed after we watched him spray his friends. Yeah for the San Bernardino Sheriff! Conor actually captured a Sheriff in the act while filming Sean. See if you can find it.
